As a Product Designer specialising in Design Systems, you will drive the evolution of Firefly, Civica’s multi-platform design system. Firefly powers product teams across the organisation, enabling them to create accessible, consistent, and engaging user experiences. As a critical component of Civica’s product strategy, Firefly will continue to grow and evolve, with a focus on increasing adoption and impact across our product portfolio.
You will define, deliver, and maintain high-quality design components, design tokens, and platform-specific libraries that ensure product scalability and efficiency. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility while championing design system best practices, governance, and accessibility standards.

What you will do to be successful in this role as Senior Product Designer
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design System Development: Create and maintain reusable, accessible design components in Figma, ensuring consistency with coded libraries and design tokens.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with designers, developers, and product managers to drive Firefly adoption and continuous improvement.
3. Education & Advocacy: Provide training, run workshops, and share best practices to support product teams using Firefly.
4. Process & Leadership: Guide design processes in an agile environment, prioritising tasks and mentoring other designers.
5. Quality & Standards: Ensure all design system components meet high standards of quality, usability, and accessibility.
6. Tools & Documentation: Define, maintain, and improve tools, processes, and documentation that support the Firefly’s scalability and adoption.
7. Culture & Growth: Promote a collaborative, positive and feedback-driven culture focused on delivering exceptional user experiences.
