This is an exciting opportunity to manage a large team that provide Project Management and administrative support across the Council. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who lead the team.
As a Corporate Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the corporate service support functions, ensuring efficient and effective operations. You will lead a team of professionals, manage key projects, and collaborate with various departments to drive organisational success.
We are looking to recruit an individual who has experience of managing a large team and of managing budgets. You should also have experience of managing complex projects. You will also be expected to build strong and effective relationships with Senior Officers to ensure that appropriate support is provided by the service.

Democratic Services
We play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the decision-making process of the Council, including support and advice to Councillors; PA, administrative and project management support to all service areas; facilitating elections; the communications team; translation and the Welsh Language policy officer. Our key functions include:
1. Corporate Service Support: PA and Administrative support; Business support including project management and minute taking.
2. Democratic Services: Councillors; Council, Cabinet, Overview and Scrutiny Committees and Regulatory Committees.
3. Electoral Services: General and local elections; Management of electoral register.
4. Communications Team: Manage communication activities corporately; support services in campaigns and projects; deal with the press and media; develop and issue press releases; manage social media pages.
5. Translation: Documents and simultaneous translation.
6. Welsh Language Standards: Operational; Policy making; Promotion; Monitoring; Service delivery.
