About you:
We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef to
work in our refurbished pub, The Dog and Duck, set in the beautiful
surroundings of Unity Seven Lakes (formally Seven Lakes Country Park).
As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with the Kitchen
Manager to lead our kitchen team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional meals
and memorable dining experiences.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll showcase your
culinary skills, mentor junior chefs, and maintain the highest standards of
quality and service.
We are also looking for -
* Proven experience in a professional
kitchen, with leadership experience.
* A passion for food and an eye for detail.
* Strong organisational skills and the
ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* A team player with excellent
communication skills and a commitment to training and mentoring others.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting the Kitchen Manager in the
running of the kitchen.
* Supervising and motivating the kitchen
team to deliver consistent, high-quality dishes.
* Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and
safety standards.
* Managing kitchen stock, ordering
supplies, and minimising waste.
* Taking charge of the kitchen in the Kitchen
Managers absence.
Hours of Work:
This is a salaried role. Weekend and evening
availability will be critical.
