Job Title: Operations Excellence Coordinator
Responsible to: Head of Process and Operations Excellence, Networks & Engineering
Responsible for: Supporting process improvement initiatives across the Networks & Engineering Division by coordinating and analysing improvement events, capturing, and interpreting data, maintaining governance and compliance standards, and providing effective administrative and coordination support across departments as required.
Location: Hybrid: 2-3 days in office: Andover, Hampshire
Salary: £27,000 base salary (Increase to £30k after 6 month probationary period)

Job function
Reporting to the Head of Process and Operational Excellence, this newly created role supports the coordination, analysis, development, and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, with a strong focus on governance, compliance, and benefits realisation.
Key responsibilities for this role include supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of continuous improvement projects across the organisation. Provide high-quality administrative and analytical support to ensure the efficient delivery of improvement initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed best practices and promote a culture of operational excellence. Contribute to tracking, reporting, and capturing benefits from process improvements.
We are seeking a motivated and organised professional with experience / knowledge in Lean Six Sigma, project management, or change management. You will bring strong coordination skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for driving efficiency and quality. This role offers exposure to the full continuous improvement lifecycle and the opportunity to develop expertise in our proven methodologies, processes, and tools while contributing to impactful business outcomes.
Specific responsibilities

Process Analysis and Improvement
* Support the analysis and mapping of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimisation.
* Coordinate and support facilitation of continuous improvement workshops, Kaizen events, and problem-solving sessions to drive performance and efficiency.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement by embedding Lean thinking and operational excellence principles across the organisation.
Data and Performance Management
* Lead or support structured data collection and analysis to inform decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
* Update and maintain performance dashboards and reports that track KPIs, trends, and progress against objectives.
* Support root cause analyses to identify underlying issues and support of data-driven solutions.
* Support benefits realisation tracking, capturing both financial and non-financial outcomes of improvement initiatives.
Governance, Compliance and Documentation
* Maintain governance frameworks, RAID and RACI logs, and document controls to ensure transparency, compliance, and accountability.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of process documentation, SOPs, and compliance frameworks.
* Ensure adherence to company policies, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements, including Quality, Health & Safety, Environment, and Information Security.
* Support the integration of governance best practices into process improvement activities and ensure all initiatives align with internal control frameworks.
Project Coordination and Delivery Support
* Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating events, projects, and improvement activities across the division.
* Track project progress, monitor milestones, and prepare status reports and updates.
* Escalate delivery risks, issues, and dependencies to support timely resolution and successful outcomes.
* Contribute to Lessons Learnt reviews, capturing feedback and supporting the refinement of internal processes and tools.
* Track project timetables to ensure adequate preparation and delivery time for initiatives.
* Assist in tracking the financial and non-financial benefits realised from process changes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Stakeholder Engagement and Administrative Support
* Provide high-quality administrative and coordination support, including meeting scheduling, minute taking, and action tracking.
* Assist in delivering training, guidance, and user support for new workflows and process improvements.
* Support the preparation of business cases and improvement proposals to secure project approval and sponsorship.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
* Perform any other reasonable duties aligned with the scope and capability of the role.
About You
* Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies advantageous, working knowledge of Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Quality-Cost-Delivery (QCD), and productivity measurement techniques although coaching will be provided.
* Confident in engaging and communicating effectively at all levels of the organisation, with strong stakeholder management and people skills.
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with proven experience in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to support process improvement and decision-making.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting, and proficiency in Microsoft Visio for process mapping and documentation.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and ensure quality and compliance in all deliverables.
