The Role
Hours
4 hours during the weekend. Typically between 12.30pm and 4.30pm on Saturdays, with some flexibility for Friday afternoons or early evenings (mutually agreed).
PA Tasks
Assist with shopping, budgeting, accessing the community, and engaging in voluntary and work opportunities. The client cannot recognize risks or keep himself safe without support. The PA will help build independent skills.
Transportation
Transport the client to places of interest. A full clean driving license with business insurance is required. Mileage will be paid directly by the client.
Client Interests/Hobbies
Enjoys walks, cinema, bowling, and shopping.
Relevant Diagnosis
Severe Autism.
Additional Details
The PA will work on a 1:1 basis to help maximize independence and facilitate access to community, social, and recreational activities.
Previous care experience is preferred but not essential. This role is suitable for responsible, reliable, patient individuals who respect privacy, dignity, and beliefs. It may also appeal to those returning to work after caring for a relative or friend.
