Mental Health Support Worker – Part‑Time (Permanent, 28hrs/week)
Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour
Shifts: Days only
Hours: Part‑time – 28 hours per week (permanent)
We are recruiting Mental Health Support Workers to join our committed and supportive team.
You will be supporting an individual with Autism, ADHD, a mild learning disability, cerebral palsy (ambulant), and trauma‑related emotional needs. The role involves working with emotional dysregulation, high‑risk behaviours, and crisis‑prone situations, so confidence, resilience, and a calm, trauma‑informed approach are essential.
Person Specification
1. Experience supporting individuals with ASD, ADHD, trauma, or behaviours that challenge
2. Strong de‑escalation and non‑reactive approaches
3. Ability to stay calm under pressure
4. Consistent, organised, with strong boundaries
5. Driving licence preferred but not essential
Key Responsibilities
6. Delivering person‑centred, empowering support
7. Supporting with daily living tasks (medication, cooking, cleaning, documentation)
8. Promoting emotional regulation and structured routines
9. Following Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans
10. Encouraging community access and physical activities (e.g., gym)
11. Working in partnership with mental health and emergency services when needed
