Sales and Business Development Manager
A vacancy has arisen for a Sales and Business Development Manager to be a key member of our client's fast-growing business located on the outskirts of Derby.

Job Description
The Sales and Business Development Manager is responsible for sales development, managing sales inquiries daily, and sales forecasting under the supervision of the Managing Director and in collaboration with the Product Manager.
The Sales and Business Development Manager will benefit from the full support of resources at the Group level, including Communication, International Development, Business Intelligence, and Marketing.
Reporting to: Managing Director (locally/UK)
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Develop business and sales with existing and new customers/markets through face-to-face and office-based interactions.
2. Attend various national and international exhibitions.
3. Prepare and issue customer quotations and orders using the MRP system.
4. Communicate effectively with all departments within the company.
5. Contribute to marketing and sales strategies.
Education and Experience
1. Proven ability to drive the sales process from planning to closing.
2. Successful experience in sales management roles, achieving and exceeding sales targets.
3. Effective communication, presentation, and influencing skills at all organizational levels.
4. Strong business acumen and industry knowledge.
5. Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
6. Sales experience in a technical environment.
7. Engineering qualification (desirable).
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with ability to generate reports and presentations.
9. BSc/MSc degree in Engineering.
10. Experience managing an ISO9001 QMS.
11. Knowledge of ISO14001 / ISO18001 standards.
12. Experience with APQP / FMEA / 5Y & 8D processes.
13. Experience with MRP systems and data entry.
14. Knowledge of UK export licensing processes.
15. Experience dealing with shipping Incoterms.

5. Competent IT and web skills.
6. Own car and full UK driving license are required.

8. Ideal candidates will have an engineering or electronics background.
9. Proven sales ability.
Salary and Benefits
Up to £70,000 per annum depending on experience, plus bonus scheme, 25 days holiday, pension, and expenses.
