We are seeking a committed and experienced Team Leader to join a residential childcare provision in Kent. This is a key role within the home, combining hands-on care delivery with leadership responsibility to ensure high standards of safeguarding, compliance, and positive outcomes for young people.
About the Role
As Team Leader, you will support the day-to-day running of the home while providing direct care and guidance to children and young people. You will lead shifts, support staff, and help maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide direct, high-quality care and support to children and young people
* Lead shifts and coordinate staff to ensure safe and consistent care delivery
* Act as a role model for professional practice and safeguarding
* Support care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies
* Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
* Support inspections and regulatory compliance requirements
* Mentor and support junior team members
Requirements
Essential:
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Experience working within a residential childrens home
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Ability to lead shifts confidently xxuwjjq and make sound decisions
* Clear written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
* Full UK driving licence
* Previous experience in a senior or team leader role
