About Us

We specialise in supporting children and young people with EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties), alongside young people with ASC, ADHD and SEMH needs.

Our homes are set within their own private grounds, offering large outdoor spaces and a peaceful environment where young people can feel safe, regulated and supported.

Based across the Staffordshire and Cheshire areas, our homes benefit from beautiful walks, parks, a wide range of activities, strong transport links and excellent educational opportunities all of which support our therapeutic model of care.

Our environments work hand in hand with the nurturing, structured and trauma-informed support we provide.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and child-focused Team Leader to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home.

You will play a key role in leading shifts, guiding and mentoring the staff team, and ensuring young people receive consistent, high-quality care in line with the Children's Homes Regulations (2015) and Quality Standards.

As Team Leader, you will help create a safe, structured and nurturing environment where young people feel supported, understood and empowered. You will promote a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach, ensuring routines, boundaries and positive behaviour strategies are applied consistently.

You will also contribute to care planning, risk management and progress monitoring, ensuring each young person's individual needs, education and emotional wellbeing remain at the centre of practice.

This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone confident in shift leading, decision making and supporting staff development while maintaining high safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead shifts and provide direction to Residential Support Workers
* Promote a therapeutic, child-centred approach
* Safeguard and protect young people at all times
* Support behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
* Contribute to care plans, risk assessments and review reports
* Liaise with social workers, education providers and external professionals
* Ensure the home remains compliant and well organised

Essential Requirements

* Full UK Driving Licence
* Level 3 or Level 4 in Children & Young People (or working towards)
* Minimum 2 years' residential childcare experience
* Experience supporting young people with EBD, ASC, ADHD or SEMH
* Strong safeguarding knowledge
* Ability to confidently lead shifts

Interview Process

* Initial phone call with Bev
* Face-to-face or MS Teams interview
* Decision usually made the same day

Onboarding can begin as soon as the successful candidate is ready to start.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a nurturing and well-supported service where the environment and therapeutic practice truly work together to achieve positive outcomes for young people.
