Purpose of the Role The Team Lead ensures delivery excellence and team effectiveness by managing workload distribution, acting as the primary escalation point for delivery issues, and supporting professional growth within the team. Youll work closely with the Service Delivery Lead and other stakeholders to maintain quality standards and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Workstream Delivery Manage workload distribution within your developer team, ensuring efficient resource allocation and balanced capacity.
Act as the day-to-day escalation point for delivery issues within your assigned workstreams, resolving challenges promptly.
Oversee project delivery for your team, ensuring work meets quality standards and deadlines.
Coordinate with Client Services on project-specific requirements and client-facing delivery matters.
Team Leadership & Development Line manage Communications Developers within your team, providing day-to-day support, coaching, and performance management.
Support team members in identifying development opportunities and enhancing their skills.
Foster collaborative working relationships within your team and across the broader Communications Management function.
Contribute to recruitment and onboarding activities, supporting new team members with process knowledge.
Process Execution & Quality Ensure your team applies processes correctly and consistently across all projects.
Flag process issues and improvements to the Service Delivery Lead.
Support your team in responding to quality control incidents, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
Participate in quality checks and maintain documentation standards within your team.
Operational Support Suggest improvements to support implementation and testing alongside the Service Delivery Lead and team members.
Work on change projects allocated to your team.
Apply operational controls and flag risks within your area of responsibility.
Support maintenance of documentation alongside team members.
Participate in training initiatives and drive skill development within your team.
Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in team leadership or management, ideally within a communications or technical delivery environment.
Solid experience of Document Composition using the Quadient/GMC Platform
Strong understanding of project delivery processes, including workload management and quality assurance.
Excellent problem-solving and escalation management skills.
Ability to coach and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Familiarity with operational controls, documentation standards, and process compliance.
Experience working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment .
