We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Bulk Port Operative. As part of a busy stevedore operation, you'll play a key role in the movement of cargo on and off ships at the docks. Salary: from £12.21 to £21.85
Shift Pattern: 07:00-19:00/19:00-07:00
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing, Full-time or Part-time Opportunities
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the movement of cargo (including steel stock, bulk ships, and animal feed) on and off vessels at Liverpool docks.
* Follow clear safety and quality standards to ensure the safe and efficient handling of cargo.
* Participate in "on the job" training with experienced operatives, as well as classroom sessions to further your skills.
* Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe working environment.
* Potential for career development with additional training for more skilled roles and plant operation.

The Successful Candidate:
* Will be flexible to work across both day and night shifts, depending on vessel schedules.
* A committed and reliable team player with a focus on safety.
* Excellent timekeeping and work ethic.
* Previous experience as a Port Operative, Warehouse Operative, Labourer, or similar roles is advantageous but not essential.
* Opportunity for refresher courses for those with existing or expired plant licenses.
