Warehouse Assistant
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for ensuring inventory is processed, organized, and stored. The warehouse assistant will also package, scan, and prepare orders for delivery. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on their feet, focused on meeting quotas, and experienced in inventory software and databases. This position is part time Monday-Friday (approx 20-30 hours per week)
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Safely operates lift or machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and transporting products.
* Processes inventory using inventory control software.
* Sorts, organizes, and stores inventory in the proper location.
* Scans delivered items and ensures quality.
* Reports damaged or missing inventory to supervisors.
* Stacks and organizes large bulk items.
* Removes inventory from trucks or shipping and delivery to proper location.
* Updates logs and documentation for inventory processing.
* Moves materials from facilities to workstations, pick-up locations, or other locations.
* Wears safety gear at all times.
* Ensures workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles.
* Works as an active team member to complete team goals.
* Prepares documentation and inventory for audits.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Demonstrable experience as a warehouse operations assistant.
* Knowledgeable about prominent health, safety, and consumer-related guidelines.
* Fine-tuned logistical techniques.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* A service-driven, warm, and accountable disposition.
Education and Experience:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Two or more years of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
* Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or sitting working with computers.
* Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds at a time.
