The Regulation and Quality Improvement Team are offering a great opportunity for a Regulation Duty Desk Co-ordinator to support the team and the wider business to co-ordinate responses to a range of regulatory and other external agency enquiries and information requests. The role provides an essential interface between internal teams and between Barchester and external regulators and agencies and is integral to the Regulation and Quality Improvement Team function.
This is a permanent, predominantly remote position with some occasional travel as and when required. Consideration will be given for part time applications (minimum 3 days a week).
We are seeking a self-starter with great co-ordination and administrative skills and experience.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
1. GCSE in English
2. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word) as well as Outlook
3. Experience of data inputting
4. Excellent administration skills
5. Strong organisational and time-keeping skills, with the ability to triage information, prioritise urgent tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
6. Previous experience in a coordinator role
7. Some experience or understanding of health and social care regulations is desired
8. Ability to multitask and take responsibility for the role
9. Ability to work calmly under pressure
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
11. Ability to be flexible to meet the needs of the business
Role and Key Responsibilities:
1. Triaging enquiries from regulators and other external agencies
2. Managing the regulation duty desk email inbox
3. Inputting data
4. Logging and allocating correspondence to ensure response deadlines are met
5. Liaising with Managers to co-ordinate and prepare information for responses to concerns and information requests
6. Managing and maintaining spreadsheets
7. Logging concerns and complaints received
8. Participating in meetings and reporting duties as required
