Role Summary

Logan Energy, a leading provider of integrated hydrogen technologies, is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the growth of our hydrogen‑related products and services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and converting technical solutions into commercially successful projects. Working closely with internal teams, you will help position Logan Energy as a trusted partner within the growing hydrogen and renewable energy markets.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional who enjoys relationship‑driven sales, complex technical solutions, and contributing to the energy transition.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have compressor sales experience or aftermarket sales experience.

Role Description

Identify and develop new business opportunities across hydrogen products, services, aftermarket offerings, and compressor‑related solutions.
Create and execute business development strategies to successfully access new markets, customers, partnerships, and applications.
Build strong relationships with new clients, understand their operational and commercial needs, and develop tailored proposals and solutions.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities for repeat business, aftermarket support, and long‑term service agreements.
Represent the business at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events, maintaining awareness of market trends and competitor activity.
Work closely with the commercial team to develop sales forecasts and actively contribute towards achieving revenue and growth targets.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Logan Energy's products, services, compressor technologies, and competitive positioning.
Collaborate with internal engineering, project management, and production teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and met.
Build and foster relationships across the supply chain, supporting stability and vertical integration.

Main Deliverables in Role

A robust and actively managed sales pipeline, from lead generation through to contract award and ongoing aftersales support.
Growth of the customer portfolio through effective prospecting, opportunity identification, and relationship management.
Effective promotion of company solutions through workshops, technical discussions, events, and targeted promotional activity.
Successful bid and tender management, coordinating internal technical, commercial, financial, and legal inputs to deliver high‑quality proposals.
Clear communication of customer requirements to internal technical teams, ensuring solutions align with customer needs and project objectives.
Confident presentation and negotiation of commercial proposals, leading to successful contract closure.
Effective contract follow‑up, ensuring commitments are met and projects are launched smoothly in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Person Specification

Education
Degree‑level qualification in Business, Engineering, Technical, or a related discipline.
Equivalent commercial or technical experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications.

Experience
Proven experience in business development or sales within aftersales/aftermarket services, compressor sales, engineered equipment, or related technical sectors.
Experience within the hydrogen, renewable energy, power, or clean technology sectors is highly desirable.
Demonstrable experience managing complex sales processes from lead identification through to contract award and post‑sale support.
Experience working with cross‑functional internal teams, including engineering, design, and marketing.
Established network within the renewable energy or adjacent industrial sectors is advantageous.

Skills
Strong commercial awareness with a structured and proactive approach to sales and business development.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all organisational levels.
Ability to understand and translate technical solutions into compelling customer value propositions.
Highly motivated, results‑driven, and comfortable working towards challenging targets.
Strong relationship‑building skills with a customer‑centric mindset.
Ability to operate effectively across regions and cultures; willingness to travel as required.
High level of integrity and professionalism when working with customers, colleagues, and partners.
Genuine interest in hydrogen, renewable energy, and contributing to the energy transition.
