Experience: Programming CNC machines and CAD
Duties:
Create CNC machine programmes for manufacturing using designated software.
Understand basic 2D CAD skills to check NC files, including dimensions and geometry.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, confirming programme components from client drawings, including manual programming.
Manage the scheduling of CNC machines, monitoring progression throughout the day until job completion.
Quote sections/fittings and lead times as necessary.
Collaborate with other production staff.
Monitor batch numbers for test certificates and traceability.
Liaise with the Sales department on cutting times to ensure customer delivery dates are met.
Supply drawings for verification of machine accuracy.
Review cutting tickets to confirm completion.
Maintain accurate records and file all correspondence as required.
Coordinate with the Purchasing department regarding non-stock requirements.
