About the Role - As Payroll & Bookkeeping Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the wider team, managing payroll, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with day to day bookkeeping tasks. Duties of the Payroll & Bookkeeping Officer - Process employee wages and salaries accurately using recognised accounting software Manage payroll data entry, including hours worked, overtime, deductions and bonuses Maintain comprehensive payroll records and prepare reports Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly Ensure compliance with tax, National Insurance and other statutory requirements Keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation and implement necessary adjustments Reconcile bank accounts and statements Prepare and submit VAT returns Skills Required - Proven experience in an accountancy or finance environment, Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations and UK statutory compliance Broader finance experience is desirable Proficient using accounting software's and Microsoft Office Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information professionally and with discretion As the successful Payroll & Bookkeeping Officer, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,000 - £28,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
