About the role
As an Activities Worker you will deliver a range of appealing and engaging social/recreational activities, providing exciting opportunities for our residents. Organising outings and events, your creative flair and passion to provide variety and choice will really make a difference to the lives of people with a disability that we support.
You may be helping to organise a large-scale service social event, finding common interests amongst a smaller group or trying out everyone’s baking skills, there will certainly be a range of exciting things to get stuck in to - creativity is key!
Week1: Mon 9-4.3; Wed 3-9; Sat 9-3; Sun 9-3
Week 2: Tue 9-4.30; Wed 9-3; Thu 3-9; Fri 9-3
About you
Previous activities worker experience is essential as you will be working with non-verbal, wheelchair users with complex needs.

To be successful in this role you will:
* Have good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
* Work flexibly and creatively with customers and their families.
* Ideally have personal care experience (not essential).
* Be able to work under pressure and as a team.
* Flexibility to work within rostered hours / prepared to participate in an on-call rota where required.

*We are currently under consultation proposing a change to the enhancement rates paid. If the proposal is accepted, from 1 December 2025 new enhancement rates of £1.00 per hour will only apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday – 7am Monday). This does not apply to Sleep-ins.
