Terumo Aortic are currently looking to recruit an Environmental Health & Safety Associate to join our EH&S team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the EH&S Manager in maintaining an excellent EH&S policy. The main objectives of the role are;
1. Ensure Environmental Health and Safety is in accordance with company policy at all time
2. Assist in ensuring a high level of visibility of Environmental Health and Safety throughout the Company
3. Assist in the administration and maintenance of a highly effective proactive Environmental Health Safety management system
4. Assist and effectively deliver the Environmental Health and Safety induction programme as required to meet the needs of the business and the achievement of its objectives
5. Assist in general administration of Environmental Health & Safety Policies and COSHH templates
6. Assist in the maintenance of the register for personal and area monitoring
7. Assist in internal audit program in compliance of Environmental Health and Safety
8. Assist in co-ordination of Environmental Health & Safety audit recommendations
9. Assist in as required the administration and training of accident and hazard reports in order to maintain a high standard of reporting and recommendations
10. Assist as and when required with site evacuation
11. Support with purchase orders and invoicing
12. Co-ordinate First Aid stock requirements throughout the Company
The successful candidate will possess;
13. Experience in a similar role
14. Excellent attention to detail
15. Excellent ability to exercise good judgment
16. Excellent ability to engage with people at all levels
17. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
18. IT literate with excellent working knowledge of MS Office
19. Be able to prioritise and manage tasks effectively
20. Basic knowledge of current Environmental Health & Safety Legislation
21. Internal Auditor Training is desirable
22. First Aid Certificate is desirable
