The Senior Finance Business Partner for Technical & Operations plays a trusted advisory role providing financial expertise and strategic insight to drive the performance and financial health of the team. This role will partner the Technical and Operations Directors focusing on car performance whilst leading a small team.
· Build trusted partnerships with stakeholders, acting as a strategic co-pilot to shape strategy, challenge constructively, and drive performance
· Provide proactive, data-driven financial insight to identify opportunities, manage risks, and support informed decision-making
· Lead financial planning activities including budgets, rolling forecasts, long-term planning, and scenario and sensitivity analysis
· Critically assess new initiatives, develop robust business cases with clear success measures, and drive post-investment reviews
· Translate financial analysis, trends, and KPIs into actionable insights, preparing and presenting performance and variance reporting to senior stakeholders
· Optimize cost and spend within financial regulations through efficiency initiatives, cost-cap optimization, prioritization models, and procurement support
· Strengthen financial governance, accountability, compliance, and data quality, including reporting specifications and system controls
· Enhance stakeholder capability by driving financial training, self-service tools, automation, and continuous process improvement
· Lead by example within Finance, building strong internal and external networks, delegating effectively, and role-modelling core values and behaviors

What do you need to bring to the team?
· Proven PQE relevant working experience, including some line management experience
· Experience influencing C-Suite stakeholders across different departments in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
· Experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment is desirable but not essential
· Able to communicate financial matters to the business with clarity and transparency demonstrated through strong presentation skills
· Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to dynamic priorities
· Commercially astute with a proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities and providing solutions for financial issues
· Analytical mindset with a focus on detail, accuracy, and actionable insights
· Able to provide examples where the status quo has been challenged and the positive impact or outcome on the business in a manufacturing/engineering environment
· Able to demonstrate examples of leading on cost reduction initiatives and their success
· Willingness to use latest business intelligence tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI) to interrogate data, problem solve and provide and provide recommendations
· Tenacious, reliable and flexible attitude to work
