About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic IT Support Engineer to join our team during our next phase of growth. We are looking for a tech-savvy, forward-thinking individual to bring new ideas and solutions to our IT support team.
If successful, you will serve as the first point of contact for all IT support queries within a well-established private healthcare provider with over 500 employees across the UK. You will work with a diverse range of users to resolve or escalate technical issues professionally. This role will cover our northern region and involve regular site visits.
Responsibilities include:
1. Responding to users' software/hardware queries via email or phone
2. Guiding colleagues or clients through actions to resolve IT issues
3. Having prior experience with Microsoft stack and Azure (Cloud Services)
4. Escalating issues to relevant teams when necessary
5. Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
6. Troubleshooting system and network problems
7. Diagnosing and resolving hardware or software faults
8. Updating the ticketing system to ensure all queries/issues are logged and resolved
9. Prioritizing and managing open cases efficiently
What you’ll bring:
* Experience in a similar 1st Line IT Support role, assisting end-users via phone, email, and remote support tools
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Self-motivated with good workload management and timekeeping skills
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Experience within the IT healthcare sector (desirable)
* Knowledge of the ITIL framework and support processes (desirable)
