Role: Shift Heating Ventilation Engineer
Hours: 42 hours (12 hours shift pattern: 4 days On, 4 days Off, 4 nights On, 4 nights Off)
Location: Coventry, CV2 2DX
At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day. We're looking for a Shift Heating Ventilation Engineer who will play a key role in delivering maintenance services across the healthcare estate.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Interpret and make judgements across a wide range of issues, understanding the complexity of pre‑planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, unplanned events and emergencies while working in a controlled manner.
2. Diagnose and repair faults in engineering, electrical and/or plumbing installations, plant and equipment, adapting to new situations as they arise and sharing knowledge with others..
3. Delivering high standards of workmanship across complex systems and understanding the relationship between mechanical and electrical systems.
4. Actively monitor the CAFM system to ensure all tasks are assigned within appropriate timescales and issues are resolved proactively.
5. Observe statutory requirements including health and safety, Electricity at Work Regulations, asbestos, legionella and COSHH regulations.
Required Qualifications:
6. Experience diagnosing and repairing faults across engineering, electrical and/or plumbing systems.
7. NVQ level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or equivariant
IOSH Working safely
8. Completion of a structured training programme in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering for a minimum of 3 years.
