Assistant Farm Manager | Shropshire | Root Crops & Cereals
About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to join a family farming operation. The Assistant Farm Manager will work closely with the Farm Manager on a 2500ac farm growing Root Crops and cereals.
Key Responsibilities
* Operating tractors and other agricultural machinery for ploughing, planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
* Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
* Assisting with general farm work as needed, including transporting materials and preparing fields
* Experience with Gatekeeper and Excel would be ideal
* Organising a small regular team
Requirements
* Strong understanding of agricultural processes and equipment maintenance
* Attention to detail and commitment to safety
* PA1 / PA2 or BASIS would be desirable
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Full driving license
