CNC Machine Operative

We are looking for a CNC Machine Operative to join our clients production team in Daventry. This role is operating CNC Lathes to perform precision machining operations.
You dont need any prior experience for this role as all training will be provided. However, if you do have any machinery or engineering experience this will be an advantage.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00 and Friday 07:00-12:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate CNC lathes
* Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
* Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to specification
* Run the Machines in line with the speed and feed called up by the programs and monitor performance
* Carry out in-cycle inspection of the parts produced, using micrometres, verniers and coordinate measuring machine reports
* Multi manning when necessary to support the performance and utilisation of our resources when machinery and suitable product types enable you to do so
* Ensure good and professional communication is maintained with your opposite machinist or supervisor during the shift handover
* Maintain a clean and tidy workplace
* Ensure health and safety compliance at all times
* Ensure accurate completion of paperwork in line
* Work as part of a strong team, willing to fulfil other tasks and additional duties when requested
Skills & Experience:
* Background working in an environment where attention to detail is important
* Automotive or other batch control industry experience
* Prior experience using measuring equipment
* Engineering background (preferred)
* Strong reading, numerical and communication skills
* Must be willing to work in other sections on occasion to facilitate the company needs
* Must be happy to be on your feet for a long period of time as this is an essential requirement
