Job Overview
For September 2024 Stowe School is looking to appoint a graduate sports coach with a specialism in lacrosse. We are looking for enthusiastic team players with a love of sport who are equally committed to participation as well as performance, and have the ability to engage and motivate students. Stowe runs two terms of lacrosse across the Autumn and Spring Terms, and ability to coach a tennis in the summer term would be advantageous.
We welcome all degree subjects and the successful candidate would be expected to assist with the administration of the sports department there will be opportunities to assist with the teaching of PE and Sports Science as well as work with younger students who are part of the Stowe Group of Schools. The Stowe Group consists of Stowe School, Winchester House Prep School and Swanbourne House Prep School.
The department is committed to career progression and training. We can assist with getting additional coaching qualifications and attending specialist courses to enhance your coaching C.V. We can also provide time for post graduate study. Where appropriate additional classroom teaching can be offered and experience also gained in other areas of the school such as our marketing and commercial departments.
There are also links to good lacrosse clubs nearby with Oxford City LC & Hawks LC for the opportunity to play at a variety of standards nearby, with women’s & mixed matches taking place on Sunday mornings.
