IT Security Manager – £67,000 + Benefits
We are seeking a technical, hands-on IT Security Manager to join a lean and growing security team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical skillset, experience with the Microsoft Security stack, and hands-on ability across various security domains.
Responsibilities include:
* Leading the technical implementation of ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials+
* Managing and enhancing the Security Operations Center (SOC), with one analyst reporting directly to you
* Overseeing incident response, managing security incidents from detection to resolution
* Collaborating with the compliance team on vulnerability management
* Architecting secure solutions, validating baseline configurations, and recommending improvements to ensure compliance
* Working closely with stakeholders including Compliance and Infrastructure teams
Required Experience:
* Proficiency with the Microsoft security suite; Microsoft certifications are highly valued
* Experience with SIEM tools, such as Microsoft Sentinel or similar
* Managing network security and firewalls
* Exposure to PenTesting methodologies or practices (desirable)
* Experience with NAC solutions like Cisco ISE, ForeScout, or similar
* Strong understanding of vulnerability management processes
Desired Certifications:
* Microsoft Security certifications (preferred)
* CISM or CISSP (beneficial, but not essential)
