o Providing high-quality reflective supervision and appraisal to Residential Support Workers, fostering their professional growth and promoting best practices.
o Contributing to the recruitment, induction, and ongoing training of new team members.
o Cultivating a positive and supportive team culture that encourages open communication and professional development.
o Overseeing staff rotas and deployment to ensure optimal staffing levels and skill mix.
* Therapeutic Care & Safeguarding:
o Championing our home's therapeutic model, ensuring all care interventions are child-centred, trauma-informed, and align with individual care plans.
o Engaging directly with young people, offering therapeutic support and acting as a consistent, reliable adult figure.
o Overseeing the development, implementation, and review of comprehensive care plans, risk assessments, and placement plans, ensuring they reflect current needs and progress.
o Collaborating with internal and external professionals (e.g., social workers, therapists, educators) for a holistic and integrated approach to care.
o Maintaining an unwavering commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all young people in our care.
o Ensuring all safeguarding policies and procedures are rigorously followed, with prompt and appropriate reporting of any concerns.
o Managing and responding to incidents and challenging behaviours calmly, therapeutically, and effectively, leading by example.
* Quality & Compliance:
o Maintaining accurate, up-to-date, and confidential records, including daily logs, incident reports, and financial records.
o Contributing to internal quality assurance processes and preparing for external inspections.
o Ensuring the physical environment of the home is safe, clean, and conducive to a therapeutic living space.
