Join to apply for the Head of Project Management Office role at Siemens
We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Project Management professional to lead our Project Management Office (PMO) in the Rolling Stock Customer Services business. This high-impact leadership role is essential in mobilising project management capability to meet the operational demands of our rolling stock customers—including train operators, leasing companies, and fleet owners—across maintenance depots and service delivery sites nationwide.
At Siemens Mobility, our Rolling Stock Customer Services business keeps fleets moving. We support the rail industry by delivering maintenance, overhauls, upgrades, and modifications that extend asset life, improve reliability, and ensure performance. With long-term service agreements and bespoke engineering projects delivered across a network of UK depots, our work enables safe, efficient, and sustainable mobility for millions of passengers.
What You’ll Love About Us
Our compensation package includes a competitive salary, company bonus, holiday allowance and pension. We celebrate the fact that our employees are individuals and have different wants and needs. With this in mind, we have a flexible benefits scheme where you can tailor your benefits package to suit you.
Since each of over 300,000 employees feels that other benefits are particularly important, and we cannot list our entire benefit portfolio here, you can find more information here.
The individual benefits are subject to regulatory, contractual, or corporate conditions.
You’ll create impact by:
* Leading a high-performing PMO team fully embedded in operations yet focused on best-in-class governance and delivery across a dynamic portfolio. You’ll ensure our projects - ranging from fleet upgrades and depot modernisation to crash repairs and overhaul programmes, meet commercial, safety, and performance expectations.
* Shaping a project delivery framework that aligns with strategic business goals and customer priorities. By embedding best-practice tools and methodologies, you’ll strengthen consistency, risk management, financial oversight, and resource planning across all project activity.
* Building strong relationships across matrix teams - engineering, commercial, operations, and central PMO functions - and providing visible, hands-on leadership. With teams and projects spread across the UK, your flexibility to travel and make a tangible impact on the ground will be essential.
You’ll break new ground by
* A strong background in project or programme management, ideally leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects in operational or service-led environments.
* The ability to manage commercial risk, project financials, and delivery outcomes across multiple live workstreams.
* Confidence working across matrix organisations, aligning diverse teams to shared outcomes while navigating stakeholder priorities.
* You don’t need to come from the rail industry—but you must be ready to become immersed in rolling stock service operations, quickly gaining an understanding of depot environments, fleet requirements, and customer expectations.
* A leadership style that builds capability and trust, brings clarity under pressure, and promotes safety, consistency, and accountability in delivery.
* Certification or familiarity with structured and reputable project methodologies, and a mindset focused on continuous improvement.
Transform the everyday with us!
Siemens recognise that building a diverse workforce is critical to the success of our business. We strongly encourage applications from a diverse talent pool and welcome the opportunity to discuss flexibility requirements with our applicants to encourage agile working and innovation. If you are successful in your application, you will receive a new contract detailing the standard terms, conditions and benefits associated with this role. Please note that this may impact any existing entitlements to legacy terms. Please note that Siemens advises employees to inform their line manager when formally applying for a new role within the company.
