Summary: The Procurement and Trading Executive will play a crucial role in optimising the purchasing processes and trading activities within our organisation. Based in Haverfordwest, Wales, this permanent full-time position is essential for ensuring that we maintain strong supplier relationships and achieve cost-effective procurement strategies. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations, directly impacting our business success. Responsibilities: Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchasing. Assist in managing supplier relationships and negotiate to pricing targets to secure favourable terms. Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure timely procurement. Collaborate with internal teams to understand their procurement needs working closely with field services and operation teams Collaborate with external stakeholders including growers and hauliers to effectivity manage performance, planted areas, crop development, yield forecasts and delivery schedules Analyse procurement data to identify trends, commercial data and opportunities for improvement. Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, suppliers and traders while identifying trading opportunities for surplus stock, supporting profitable growth strategies through market insight. Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all procurement activities. Qualifications: A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field is preferred Or at least 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management or related field Previous experience of SAGE Accounting is preferable Strong negotiation and communication skills High level of proficiency in oral and written English, Basic Welsh is desirable Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
