Female Support Worker
We are working with an exciting organisation that is seeking Female Support Workers in Bethersden, Ashford Kent. You will be supporting one female who lives in her own home, with the aim to work with her to open up her world and experiences. (This post is restricted to women only as a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9 paragraph 1, Equality Act 2010)
You will be working for a national charity supporting people with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health needs. They put people at the centre of everything they do, so that they get support that truly meets their needs.

* Salary: £13 per hour
* Hours: Shift work: 7.30am-3.00pm, 3pm-10pm, wake night 7.30pm-9.30am, 10pm-7am, long days 7.30am-10.00pm

About the Role
We are looking for female support workers for a new service in Bethersden, with eight positions available. You will support one female with complex needs, requiring 2:1 support at all times. Our goal is to help her explore her interests and broaden her experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Treat the person(s) supported with dignity and respect at all times.
* Follow procedures for reporting safeguarding concerns or incidents.
* Keep accurate records.
* Attend training sessions.
* Ensure health, safety, and welfare of those supported and colleagues.
* Work as part of a team and support colleagues.
* Drive a car.
* Perform other appropriate duties as required.
* Adhere to organisational policies and procedures.

Training will be provided to support personalisation and development of independent living skills such as hygiene, meal prep, exercise, leisure, and social activities.

This national charitable Community Benefit Society, established in 1984, supports people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs across England. Employing around 2,800 staff, they support approximately 1,500 individuals, focusing on personal choice and individualised support.
