National Procurement delivers a comprehensive range of procurement services and expert advice across its portfolio to various stakeholders, including Health Boards, the Scottish Government, and the broader public sector.
The Technology Services department is tasked with providing strategic direction and leadership for IT development and process efficiencies within the directorate. It also leads, manages, and directs the implementation of eProcurement technologies for customers in Health.
The Post:
The NHS Scotland Procurement Strategy includes a strategic priority framework with six key priorities, one of which focuses on digitisation and a procurement technology roadmap. Digitisation and the technology roadmap are crucial for NHS Scotland to transform procurement systems and provide better quality information for stronger decision making.
The NHS Scotland Strategy emphasises the importance of implementing digital procurement technologies to streamline current processes, enhance efficiency, and support patient safety.
The Technology Services Team is seeking a Technology Analyst to support the Digital Project Manager in the delivery of our digital transformation initiatives, specifically focusing on the implementation of Microsoft 365 (M0365) tools to streamline processes and improve efficiencies across the organisation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital transformation and experience with M0365 tools.
The postholder will support digital transformation projects, ensuring they align with NHS Scotland’s Procurement Strategy and deliver measurable improvements. They will drive the introduction and adoption of Microsoft 365 tools, including MS Forms, Power Automate and Power BI, to enhance collaboration and productivity.
This role is key to the delivery of National Procurement’s strategic outcomes in relation to continuous improvement, service transformation and IT development.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate should hold a degree in a relevant subject or professional accreditation in a technical, business or similar discipline, or have equivalent experience. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications are essential.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Location and Working Pattern:
National Distribution Centre, Canderside, Larkhall
Currently hybrid working
Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
