Our clients based in Quainton, Nr Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire are seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. This includes equipment such as setting machines, ventilation systems, and ongoing improvement projects. This is a hands-on role involving manual processes, including lifting equipment up to 25 kg. You will be expected to work independently within farm buildings. As a Maintenance Engineer, duties will include: * Maintain and repair hatchery machinery and plant * Support ongoing improvement projects * Ensure compliance with health, safety, and poultry welfare standards * Work independently and as part of a team * Prioritise workload effectively The required background / attributes: * Qualified in a relevant engineering trade * Broad understanding of mechanical processes and assemblies * Knowledge of facilities maintenance, including welding, fabrication, plumbing, and pipe fitting * Effective communication skills and a good team player * Committed, reliable, and flexible attitude * Ability to use initiative and work independently Core working hours will be Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 15:00 On-Call Requirement: This role includes being on-call one weekend in every five, covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. When on call, you will receive £25 per day, with an additional £25 paid for any actual call-outs.
