Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: December 31, 2026, with potential to extend
Work Set Up: Hybrid (3 days per week onsite in Sheffield office)
Our client in the IT Services & Consulting industry is looking for an Agile Product Owner to lead the implementation of OpenShift within a complex enterprise technology environment. This role will serve as the critical link between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring platform capabilities align with strategic objectives while delivering high-value outcomes across the organization.
What you will do:
* Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for OpenShift implementation.
* Gather, analyze, and prioritize business and technical requirements with key stakeholders.
* Translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for delivery teams.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams to ensure timely delivery of features and enhancements.
* Manage and maintain the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical feasibility.
* Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
* Monitor delivery progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies where required.
* Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards within the organization’s technology environment.
* Act as the primary point of contact for OpenShift-related decisions and inquiries.
Qualifications
* Proven experience working as a Product Owner or in a similar Agile delivery role.
* Strong working knowledge of container technologies, particularly OpenShift and Kubernetes.
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and hybrid cloud models.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Ability to translate technical requirements into clear business outcomes.
* Experience using backlog management and delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.
* Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices is advantageous.
* Contractor must be eligible for BPSS clearance.
* Must operate under PAYE via Umbrella arrangement.
