We have an exciting role on offer within our Prevention Access and Provider Services as a Driver.
The day centre is committed in offering social inclusion for people that have a diagnosis of dementia promoting their rights, independence, fulfilment, and choice.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills who will be able to work as part of a team. The successful applicant will be working alongside the escort to accompany vulnerable adults including individuals living with Dementia, and a range of other needs on their journey to and from their home into our day services.
You will always be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of passengers, ensuring their transport to and from the centre is safe, comfortable, and as pleasant as possible. You will also be responsible for conducting daily safety checks on the on-site minibus prior to departure from the day centre, ensuring the vehicle is safe and fit for use. You will be responsible for completing and updating transport risk assessments, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and adapted to meet any changing needs of passengers.
We are looking for applicants who share and promote the values of Middlesbrough Council and are passionate about making a positive difference through the service we provide. Statutory training will be given as first aid, manual handling etc.
