Tender Co-Ordinator / Estimator
Full-Time | Permanent
The Role Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for developing winning tender strategies, preparing accurate estimates, and coordinating comprehensive tender submissions.
This is a client-facing role requiring strong commercial awareness and excellent relationship management skills. You will ensure all tenders are competitively structured, commercially sound, and professionally presented minimising risk while delivering first-class service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement winning tender strategies
* Produce detailed and competitive cost estimates
* Analyse tender opportunities and make informed bid/no-bid recommendations
* Coordinate the full tender return documentation and submission process
* Review and manage historical cost data and market trends
* Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
* Lead and support client presentations and pre-contract meetings
* Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, Planning Regulations, and relevant legislation
* Manage pre-contract documentation and handover to delivery teams
* Control and monitor costs associated with tenders
* Ensure high standards of health & safety and compliance with company policies
About You
We are looking for a commercially astute and detail-oriented professional with strong organisational and communication skills.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in estimating and tender coordination within construction or fit-out
* Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
* Excellent planning and organisational ability
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Confident presenting to internal stakeholders and clients
* Proficient in MS Excel and MS Office
* Experience using Bluebeam or similar software
* Strong team player with high levels of integrity and professionalism
Qualifications:
* Membership of a recognised industry body (e.g., RICS or CIOB) or proven commercial estimating experience
