The Role:
The Finance Officer will work alongside all members of the finance team assisting with day-to-day finance tasks, month end tasks, and ad-hoc projects throughout the month. They should be looking to improve processes, ensure compliance and add value where possible. The role is a 1-year fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts and improve processes as needed.
* Assist the purchasing manager and management accountant with various day-to-day and month end tasks, providing cover where needed.
* Support the purchasing manager and management account with system upgrade.
* Support the head of finance and management accountant with quarterly reforecasts and annual budget.
* Provide cover to members of finance team as needed.
* Assist with sampling and review for year-end audit.
Ad-hoc analytical tasks, communicating results and driving change with key stakeholders.
Technical Experience:
1. A management accounting and reconciliation background, preferably Microsoft Dynamics /Navision experience.
2. Previous experience working to tight deadlines.
3. ACCA, CIMA or ACA part qualified and actively studying preferred but not essential
