Job description
BAE - Submarine Solutions (SS) is currently seeking a Technical Coordinator to join their team in the Defence sector based in Barrow. This 12-month contract role, within the Subs Business Unit, reports to an Administration Supervisor or Department Manager and welcomes applications from experienced administrators with a keen interest in the Defence & Security industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Undertaking specialised clerical and administrative duties within the department to ensure smooth operations
2. Processing complex documents and information from various sources aligning with department standards
3. Obtaining, formatting, and analysing data to produce reports, schedules, summaries, and letters
4. Investigating discrepancies with products or services through data analysis and cross-departmental checks
5. Liaising with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers, including certain specified accounts/contacts
6. Maintaining technical documentation and keeping filing systems up-to-date for traceability and easy information retrieval
7. Understanding and facilitating HS&E requirements to maintain a compliant office environment
8. Ensuring all quality standards are met in document management systems
Job Requirements:
9. Considerable experience in providing an administrative service
10. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with teams and stakeholders
11. Understanding of confidentiality and appropriate storage of sensitive information
12. Comprehensive knowledge of a range of procedures and systems across the discipline
13. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and relevant IT systems
14. Experienced in using digital communication mediums
15. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make straightforward judgements
16. Excellent planning and organisational skills with SMART time management
17. Ability to confidently liaise with challenging contacts and articulate information effectively
