Independent Reviewing Officer - Bromley Council
We are currently looking to recruit an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) within Bromley Council, Hybrid and mobile working (between home and work) is available with this role thanks to the latest technology to facilitate this,
Responsibilities include:
Chairing looked after children and young people's reviews
Ensuring the Care Plan is SMART and being delivered.
Quality assurance, monitoring and auditing role.
Someone who will actively work to improve and maintain the quality of care for all our children and young people.
Someone who can apply strong and up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, research and Government policies in their work.
Someone who has the skills to involve the children and young people in their Reviews and Care Planning, as well as involving the carers, professional network and their parents and family members.
Chairing complex multi-agency procedures
Chairing LAC reviews or Child Protection conferences
Safeguarding for Children & Young People
Liaising with other professionals
Knowledge of relevant legislation Experience preferred:
Previously working in an extensive post qualifying role
Experience of constructively challenging casework and resolving issues using effective dispute resolution processes.
Proven ability to effectively use data, intelligence and evidence to create meaningful insight and to inform own decision making.The team:
Well-structured organised team, growing their staffing levels.Minimum Requirements:
1 year experience in a similar role within the UK
Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
