About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Bradford for a part-time maternity cover, working 3 days per week from September 2025. You will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of engaging and safe science lessons across KS3 to KS5.

Essential Requirements
* Experience working in a science lab, ideally in a school or educational environment
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and COSHH guidelines
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Responsibilities
* Preparing practical equipment and materials for science lessons
* Setting up apparatus and ensuring functionality before lessons
* Supporting teachers in the delivery of experiments
* Maintaining a clean and safe lab environment
* Assisting with inventory checks and stock control
* Ordering equipment and consumables
* Supporting students during practical activities where required
* Liaising with teaching staff to anticipate lesson requirements
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
* Keeping risk assessments up to date
* Organising and maintaining prep rooms and storage areas
* Supporting science clubs or enrichment activities as needed
