Temporary Kitchen Assistant – School Environment
Monday to Friday - 10:30am – 1:30pm - up to £14.45 per hour
We are looking for a dependable Temporary Kitchen Assistant to support a busy school kitchen team. This temporary role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured, friendly environment and is available for daytime hours during the school week.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with basic food preparation
* Support the cook during busy service periods
* Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, equipment, and serving areas
* Serve meals to pupils and staff
* Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures
Requirements
* Enhanced DBS – essential
* Food Hygiene Certificate – essential
* Previous catering or school kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential
* Ability to work efficiently and follow instructions
* Positive, reliable, and team-focused attitude
Hours & Pay
* Monday to Friday, 10:30am – 1:30pm
* Up to £14.45 per hour
