Hygiene Manager - Food Manufacturing
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Benefits

Are you an experienced Hygiene Manager looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced FMCG environment? We're seeking a dedicated professional to lead hygiene operations on the night shift, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and compliance across the site.
Responsibilities
* Operational Management
o Plan, organise, manage, and motivate the hygiene team to maximise cleaning standards.
o Ensure equipment and staff are working effectively and efficiently.
o Attend management and production meetings as required.
o Develop and implement cleaning plans aligned with the engineering PPM schedule.
o Manage hygiene spend on chemicals and equipment.
* Compliance & Safety
o Promote quality assurance, environmental, and health & safety awareness.
o Ensure correct use of PPE and adherence to chemical safety instructions.
o Maintain a tidy and compliant chemical store.
o Enforce SOPs and work instructions.
o Conduct hygiene audits and investigate non-compliance issues.
o Liaise with pest control contractors and engineering teams.
* Training & Development
o Plan and deliver training for hygiene staff, ensuring records are maintained.
o Assist in developing work instructions, procedures, and COSHH assessments.
o Develop CIC cards and support implementation of quality systems.
* Information Management
o Communicate effectively with production and departmental managers.
o Monitor and record hygiene schedules and audits.
o Promote energy awareness and waste reduction.
* Other Duties
o Act as site contact for external cleaning suppliers.
o Ensure all health & safety policies and company procedures are followed.
o Report any breaches of policy or safety to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
* Qualification or experience in auditing.
* Proven experience in a similar managerial role within an FMCG environment.
