The Opportunity As a History Teacher, you will engage students with dynamic and thought-provoking lessons that bring the past to life. You will support pupils in developing analytical and evaluative skills, while fostering curiosity about the world and its historical foundations. You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to Key Stage 5 depending on experience. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality, curriculum-aligned History lessons. Inspire students to develop a strong understanding of British and global history. Encourage historical enquiry, debate, and the use of evidence in reasoning. Differentiate lessons to support the needs of all learners, including SEN and high-achieving pupils. Assess, record, and report on student progress regularly. Collaborate with the Humanities department and contribute to whole-school initiatives and enrichment activities.What We're Looking For Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Specialism in History or a closely related Humanities subject. Strong classroom presence and a genuine passion for teaching History. Ability to deliver engaging, informative, and inclusive lessons.
