Job Description: Revit Technician (MEP)Location: CambridgeWorking Pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week in officeSalary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Revit Technician (MEP) to join our growing engineering team in Cambridge. This role will support the design and delivery of mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) systems across a range of projects, ensuring high-quality BIM models and technical drawings.Key Responsibilities
* Produce detailed 3D BIM models using Autodesk Revit for MEP systems
* Develop coordinated MEP layouts in line with project specifications and design standards
* Prepare accurate 2D drawings, schematics, and documentation from Revit models
* Collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other design consultants to ensure coordinated design outputs.
* Participate in clash detection and coordination meetings (e.g., using Navisworks)
* Maintain BIM standards and ensure models comply with company and project requirements (e.g., ISO 19650 where applicable)
* Manage and update model data throughout project lifecycle stages
* Assist with resolving technical design issues and implementing design changes
* Ensure all deliverables meet deadlines and quality expectations
Key Requirements
* Proven experience working as a Revit Technician within MEP disciplines
* Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP)
* Good understanding of mechanical, electrical, and public health building services systems
* Experience producing coordinated BIM models and drawings for construction projects
* Familiarity with Navisworks or similar clash detection tools
* Knowledge of UK building regulations and standards is advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
* Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, office-based team environment
Desirable Skills
* Experience working in consultancy or contractor environments
* Understanding of BIM Level 2 / ISO 19650 workflows
* Familiarity with AutoCAD and other design software
* Exposure to sustainable design or energy modelling tools
