Care Manager – Mental Health services
We are an established and growing care organisation providing high-quality domiciliary care and supported living services. Due to continued growth and strategic development, we are seeking an experienced care manager to join our leadership team.
Role & Responsibilities
* Lead and manage Coordinators, Supervisors and Carers in day-to-day management of delivering quality care services.
* Implement policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations.
* Maintaining a high standard of care and support delivery for all service users as per CQC standards and the Local authority contractual requirements.
* Ensuring thorough Care plans, clear documentation and record-keeping is maintained regarding all service users’ progress; and the quality care support is provided on time.
* Effective communication and dealing with Local authorities, commissioners’ external agencies, and potential customers.
* Experience in managing efficient teams with budget responsibility in the care industry.
Person specifications
Minimum 2-5 years' demonstrable experience in managing supported living and domiciliary care services or alternative relevant experience is desirable.
* Holds NVQ Level 4/5 in Health Social Care/leadership and management or other business/management qualifications.
* Experience and extensive knowledge of Mental health, Mental Health services, Learning Disability, ASD.
* Experience in dealing with local partnerships, local authorities, social services and a good track record in CQC performance.
* Experience in carrying our Care Act Assessments, Care Plan development, recruitment and managing a team.
* Strong knowledge and experience in safeguarding procedures aligned with local processes of Suffolk.
* Credible, pro-active, resilient and a strong team player who can be calm under pressure - able to multi-task and a good communicator at all levels.
* Excellent administration management and IT skills.
* Full driving license and access to your own car.
* Salary: £ 31,000 - £ 34,000 per annum, 37.5 Hours per Week, Full-time, Permanent
