Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to support the day-to-day financial operations of their organisation. The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
This role is home based with monthly visits to the client’s office based in Solihull required. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
* Assist with processing invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims
* Support the preparation of monthly management accounts
* Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
* Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
* Assist with credit control and chasing outstanding payments
* Process payments, receipts, and petty cash
* Help prepare financial reports and spreadsheets as required
* Respond to finance-related queries from internal staff and external stakeholders
* Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative and accounting tasks
Qualifications
* Previous experience in an accounts or finance support role is essential
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* AAT qualification (studying or completed) is advantageous
