Join Our Healthcare Team in Police Custody Suites – Nationwide Roles Available

* Salary: £20,000 - £41,000 per year, depending on position.
* Bonus: £ bonus after completing 12 months of service (pro-rata for PT).
* Full-time: Fixed shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off: 06:45 to 19:00 for day shifts, followed by 2 night shifts from 18:45 to 07:00, with a rolling rota available 2 years in advance.
* Part-time: Fixed shifts: 06:45 to 19:00 for days, 18:45 to 07:00 for nights, in a pattern of 2 days on, 8 days off, 2 nights, 4 days off, with a rolling rota available 2 years in advance.
* Estimated overtime: £ per annum.
* Additional benefits: NMC/HCPC registration paid.
As a qualified nurse or paramedic, you can build a career within the criminal justice system, helping vulnerable individuals and ensuring their health and wellbeing are prioritized. No previous forensic experience is required, as full training will be provided.
The role requires flexibility to work across different custody suites within an assigned region.
Qualifications:
* RN, RGN, or RMN with dual registration: 2+ years post-qualification, Band 5 minimum.
* Paramedic: 2+ years post-qualification.
Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a patient-facing role in relevant fields such as General Practice, A&E, Emergency Medicine, or Ambulance Service.
Driving license is required, along with legal right to work in the UK (British Passport or ILR for 3+ years, no gaps out of country exceeding 3 months).
All candidates will undergo police vetting.
Required certifications:
* HCPC/NMC registration.
* Driving license.
Role responsibilities include:
Providing healthcare and wellbeing support in custody suites, assessing detainees' fitness for detention or release, administering medications, and working with local teams to address root causes of offending.
