Bassetlaw District Council is taking a proactive approach to tackle the impact and frequency of flooding in our district, and we are looking for the right person to drive this vital work.
This exciting position will play an integral role within the Bassetlaw Flood Partnership. The successful candidate will ensure that partnership meetings run effectively, manage the delivery of an action plan, and stay updated on relevant national policies and local issues.
You will also be a key point of contact regarding flooding, engaging regularly with elected Councillors, Council departments, businesses, stakeholders, and residents. Your role will involve providing updates, understanding local concerns, and raising awareness of positive actions being implemented.
If you are a self-motivated, proactive individual with good interpersonal and communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a desire to make a difference in our communities, we would love to hear from you.
While detailed knowledge of flooding is not essential, understanding the roles of different agencies, funding programs, and incident response would be advantageous.
