The Groups Agribusiness Division (Lakeland Agri) operates a state-of-the-art Animal Feed Manufacturing Facility and is a leading and innovative provider of the highest quality feeds and agricultural inputs to dairy, beef and sheep farmers across the north and south of Ireland.
Applications are invited for the above position at our Ballyrashane site: The Role: Our new Operations Accountant will play a key role within the sites Finance team with particular focus on supporting the Operations function on the site.
The successful applicant will assist with the collation and preparation of key financial information and reports including month and year end account postings and journals.
Additional key responsibilities will include (Not limited too): Focus on measurement and reporting of yield and production variances.
Production of variance against standard report.
Conduct departmental yield/variance reviews with departmental managers.
Assist Operations with calculation and measurement of production-related Profit Improvement Projects (PIPs); Use of Power Bi, Qlik and other business intelligence and reporting tools to develop and maintain operational KPI reports Carry out business unit profitability analysis.
Assist in Financial Analysis as required.
The person: To be successful in this role applicants shall require: Relevant Accountant qualification (qualified or part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or Qualified By Experience) Previous relevant experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Advanced Excel skills and experience in the use of SAP or an ERP system.
Ability to multi-task, displaying skills in establishing priorities and managing workloads to meet challenging deadlines.
