The Alyth services include Airlie View and Burnside Court, both of which support those with additional support requirements within 24-hour accommodation-based settings; and an outreach service which supports individuals in their own homes in Alyth and Blairgowrie. The individuals we support have a wide range of needs and abilities, and we work in a person-centred way to assist them in achieving their outcomes.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
1. Deliver a high standard of care for individuals in line with their outcomes plans.
2. Provide holistic daily living support to individuals, including assistance with cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and personal care, with a person-centred approach.
3. Provide support and encouragement to enable individuals to participate in and enjoy leisure, social, and other meaningful activities.
You Will
* Have a positive, flexible attitude.
* Be a good communicator, both written and verbal.
* Have good time-keeping and organisational skills.
* Be able to demonstrate transferable skills relating to care.
* Have the right values, behaviours, and attitude to work effectively with individuals who require care and support.
* Possess an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or the willingness to undertake study to achieve this.
* Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post.
