Engineering Machine Operative - Extrusion Department
Bridgwater | £27,000 plus Two Annual Bonuses | Permanent | Monday to Friday | Early Friday Finish (1pm)
Are you looking to build a long-term career in engineering or machine operations? Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Bridgwater for an Engineering Machine Operative to join their busy extrusion department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous warehouse or manufacturing experience who's eager to step into a technical role - full training is provided!
What's on offer:
* Salary: £27,000 per annum.
* Two annual loyalty bonuses (up to 4%).
* Early finish every Friday (1pm).
* 33 days holiday (including bank holidays).
* Christmas shut down.
* Permanent, full-time role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate various production machines including large press machines.
* Perform visual and dimensional quality checks on finished parts.
* Moulding operations: set up moulds, run presses, and trim excess material.
* Mix and cast silicone products.
* Operate trimming, laser marking, and assembly machinery.
* Label and prepare goods for dispatch.
* Maintain accurate production records and paperwork.
* Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures.
* Support other departments when required, working towards lean manufacturing standards.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience (essential).
* Machine operation or rubber manufacturing experience (desirable).
* Good attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
* Comfortable working with small components while wearing gloves.
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and adapt across departments.
* Understanding of health and safety in a factory environment.
