An esteemed independent consultancy with a robust reputation for excellence in surveying and building consultancy services is looking to recruit a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their Sheffield team. This role will offer significant scope: technical, professional and project-based work across commercial, education, public sector and refurbishment schemes.

The Role
You will:
* Conduct and lead commercial building surveys, condition/maintenance audits, building pathology and defect analysis across a varied portfolio.
* Provide dilapidations advice, planned maintenance and life-cycle assessments, reinstatement cost assessments and refurbishment design/specification input.
* Lead contract administration or project management of refurbishment/alteration packages, working alongside architectural, structural and services disciplines.
* Act as client-facing lead on assignments, building and maintaining professional relationships, establishing new instruction streams and delivering technical excellence.
* Mentor less-experienced surveyors and contribute to the growth of the surveying team and service-line.
About You
* MRICS qualified Building Surveyor with demonstrable experience in a commercial surveying consultancy environment.
* Strong technical background (surveys, defect analysis, refurbishment work, dilapidations) with the ability to manage professional and project work.
* Comfortable being client-facing, building relationships and influencing at senior stakeholder level.
* Self-starter who is able to drive their own workload, whilst contributing to team outputs.
* Enjoys working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment and wants to help shape the future of the team.
